Third Thursday Art Nights

For all you local readers, yours truly is launching 'Third Thursday Art Nights.' Every third Thursday of every month I'll be offering a different art class at my farm table. Beat the winter blues, indulge your inner creative goddess [we all have one] and meet new and interesting people while creating something beautiful and all your own.

All you have to do is show up. That's right. No supplies lists + supply shopping +  lugging said supplies = less stress. And it's super affordable at only $25 a class.

The first class is 'Your Vision' on February 20th from 7-9pm. Each lovely lady will create a vision board to help usher in all those wonderful things you're counting on this New Year. Learn the practices of creating a vision board with the time and space to let your energy flow.

Send a message in a bottle, write it in the sky or simply send me an email [] if you'd like to attend.

A Letter to January

Oh January, your gift is energy. Pure, white and clean. It's this energy that invites quiet stillness into our spirits, making room for deep reflection, rest and rejuvenation.

These days become the source of a deep energy used throughout the year as fuel for all that we are called upon to bring to fruition.

We will also draw on your energy for hope. Hope of things to come and the hope we see in ourselves.

Thank you for your new energy, for it gives us our 'new year'.

Fuel the Soul

January's quiet days have been kind and yet in the past year I've grown enough to know to that this really means I am being kind to me -- fueling my soul with what it craves and needs to keep me charged.

These days this means music filling the air [Zee Avi is my go-to favorite at the moment], projects with vibrant colors, sitting in the light with a warm beverage, and 'easy' but meaningful reads.

The payoff has been nothing short of beautiful, with ideas and energy flowing into all the right things and places.

Sunday, January 12, 2014

Is it really the twelfth of January? I find it hard to believe, but the calendar doesn't fib. Where or where do the days go? Well, I've been letting one day quietly flow into the next - so it's safe to say that's where the time has gone. It seems as though I'm not quite ready to jump into 2014, at least not with the fierce energy I typically unleash onto a new year.

Perhaps it the weather, or post holiday lull, or perhaps it's a new way of being. Either way, in these moments, these quiet days suit me. Cooking, cleaning out drawers, framing holiday paper [I just fell in love with these woodland creatures] listening to a new audiobook, writing little notes on my mirror [Healthy Am I, Holy Am I, Happy Am -- I courtesy of this guy who was recently in town] - you know, just a general taking care of oneself.

I hope this post finds you well and your days are flowing with the energy you desire.
