Outtakes

Have you ever had a vision of something in your head and for the life of you struggle to bring it to life? That my dear blog readers is how I spent a good portion of my studio time this weekend. I wiled away Saturday morning bringing new pieces to life while trying not to lose the mental image of the piece I had envisioned creating. It wasn't time I suppose.

I had to remind myself that just because what I had envisioned and what actually came to life were two different things, does not mean I failed. Working with lace, ribbon, doilies, pearls and neutral tones still bring me great pleasure. The simplicity of an era I can't let go of. And if I enjoy them, maybe you will too.

For the said vision in my head, I'll continue to have faith that it will make its appearance in due time.

  1. Hi Nicole. These are gorgeous - I love the simple, neutral/white colors. You're giving me inspiration to use my lace somehow. Really nice.
